Mindfucked in Madras

I did not expect life to come to this. But i've timed out in chennai. The ocean and the heat(which i like) notwithstanding. I thought i would generally live on here without any complaints, until i grow old and senile. And when the time comes, step into the Bay of Bengal and drown peacefully. But the mind seeks change now. Working towards changing geographies in the foreseeable future.

Someone who reads my blog(who i do not know personally) had asked a friend if i was a depressed alcoholic with 'woman' problems!!..Was i dishing out such sad tales?:). Some 4 years or so back, when i was younger naiver stupider happier, a friend kept telling me that i lived in a bubble (what she did not tell me was that it would break in time). Break, it did. But then, i am nowhere in the vicinity of such description. Just a regular 28 year old. Not-too-happy. Not-too-sad. A bit lost. A bit cynical. The problem is, once food and shelter are taken care of, the mind has a knack for churning out random concerns to screw up your existence. Mine does that too. But you just learn to fight your fights, laugh your laughs, crib your cribs and snatch your moments...

Hey!

A very neat post!! Liked it a lot.
I know how much it sucks when people get nosy about your perosnal life or give their unwanted expert comments!!

Just so you know i found you to be an awesome human just the way your buddy had described :)
Well you fitted the GentleMan bill perfectly :D

Wondering who me is!
Well the very famous, the one and only Garrulous Jabber Mouth trekker of Thadiyendamol :)

leena - thanx..but honestly every one is constantly judging everyone else (that u dont pass it doesnt mean u dont make it). Particulary, if u read a stranger's blog u cant help framing a mental picture of that person(not necassarily a right picture)..but i guess thats alright..i dint say wat i said as a complaint..was rather just relating something..

and about the 'judgement' you passed, you wouldnt be as generous if you knew me enough:)...

u bored of chennai?!! that sure comes as a bit of a surprise to me.. in any case, nice post.

"Some 4 years or so back, when i was younger naiver stupider happier..."
cynicism is fine, methinks, as long as you have small ways of finding happiness... me honestly thinks ppl don't get sadder when they grow older.. (i guess) they just become too lazy and tired to enjoy the little things in life...

10 yrs from now... hmmm.. long way to go. according to your predictions, i'm going to get there in abt 5 yrs from now :) but let's see... as of now, methinks life is as good as it gets.. but maybe, this time around, i'm living in a bubble.. who knows?

/But the mind seeks change now./

Change! The most famously talked about constant that is random! What do you want change? Your situation or the way you think about it or yourself?

"Aut viam inveniam aut faciam!" :-)

U-know-me!

Avi - I must have been the half-with who drew your attention to your bubble-mobile all those years ago. My past self must have been speaking from envy or jealousy or some such green, slimy stuff. Bubbles are good. Bubbles are air-borne and symmetric and they trap rainbows in them. Get back into your bubble-mobile and bounce away into your future. Leave depression for those genetically predisposed to it like yours truly.

I meant half-wit of course.
